NO. ZINE

We have taken great inspiration from the layout and look of a publication called No.Zine. We stumbled across this as it features within Teal Tribbs' Fanzine and it immediately caught our eye.

'No.Zine is an independent arts zine, released in series, with the first collection 1 to 3 featuring a variety of young artists, writers, photographers and illustrators. Each issue is conceptually centred around its issue number.'
We ordered the first series, 1 to 3 and have scanned in the pages to document how they choose to layout their Zine and the creative ideas that go into it.

We like the fact that each Zine uses only one colour, while keeping the rest of the publication black and white, and continues to use this one colour throughout. We really like the colour effects that they give photography and artwork to incorporate the key colour and their use of blank pages is really effective.

ISSUE ONE
Within this issue we really like a continuous use of handwritten graphics, written almost as though crayon has been used to annotate the piece.
The 'All Fingers and Thumbs' piece uses handwriting in a really interesting way to give an edited feel to the writing. For example words are crossed out, written in and doodles and annotations are all created in the feature red of the issue as though someone has gone through afterwards to make sure the piece is correct and ready to be published.

 ISSUE TWO
We love the colour blend used within this issue, ensuring that all images fit in with the colour theme.
